“It was crucial,” says Hammers midfielder Kudus after scoring

Tomas Soucek, a midfielder for West Ham, believes that Mohammed Kudus, who recently scored his first Premier League goal, will flourish for the Hammers.

Kudus scored a late goal against Newcastle over the weekend to draw the game even. The Ghanaian international, who has already scored two goals for West Ham in the Europa League, hit the back of the net with a beautiful strike in the 89th minute.

Many big clubs across Europe have been interested in Kudus since his summer transfer from Ajax, but there is a growing sense that he is finally settled and may soon be given the opportunity to start for the league’s first team.

Tomas Soucek, Kudus’ teammate and the other goal scorer on Sunday against the Magpies, is happy for the forward and believes that the goals will provide him a tremendous confidence boost when we begin our season following the current international break.

Mo’s first Premier League goal is “perfect for Mo,” Soucek said on the team’s official website. He is still a rookie, so we need to establish a relationship with him as well. However, scoring was crucial for his confidence because he is a winger and a striker, so he needs to score. That was wonderful for us that he did that today.

This season, Soucek’s performance has also been a hot issue. The Czech international has scored four goals in all competitions so far, which is a sign that the big man is performing at his peak for the claret and blue.

“I feel great right now, and I’m especially ready and more motivated than ever,” Soucek continued. “I just hope my performances will be like this, or even better.”
