Ipswich Town transfer latest Bids rejected, Kieffer Moore stance

If Ipswich Town is to be promoted, Kieran McKenna and his team must be extremely strategic in the January transfer window.

So far, two new signings have come at Portman Road, which has thrilled the Ipswich supporters. The club will have to make some difficult decisions about strengthening the squad and allowing players to leave.

First, Jeremy Sarmiento signed on loan from Brighton & Hove Albion until the end of the season. The versatile forward had a successful loan stay at West Brom for the first part of the season, but he is now joining promotion rivals in order to further his development.

Then, 26-year-old midfielder Lewis Travis joined on loan from Blackburn Rovers after seeing his game time decrease this season despite wearing the captain’s armband. Ipswich remains in the top two, having lost only three league games this season, but January may make or break their promotion chances. Ipswich rejects El Mizouni proposals.

According to the East Anglian Daily Times, several League One clubs have had their transfer bids for Idris El Mizouni denied. Bolton Wanderers, Barnsley, Oxford United, and Wycombe Wanderers are among the clubs interested, although Ipswich appear to be determined to keep their player after rejecting low six-figure transfer approaches.

The Tunisian midfielder has been one of Leyton Orient’s star players this season and last, having joined on loan from Ipswich Town. His efforts have earned him a popular following at Brisbane Road, and his parent club, Ipswich, will be hoping he can return to their team at the end of his loan period.

The desire from League One clubs is understandable, but he is more than capable of playing for Championship powerhouses Ipswich next season.

Jeremy Sarmiento made his debut.

Last week, Ipswich made their first move of the January transfer window, signing Sarmiento on loan from Brighton following a good time with West Brom. The 21-year-old earned his FA Cup debut this weekend as Ipswich faced AFC Wimbledon in the third round.

Sarmiento began on the bench as Ipswich won 3-1 against League Two opponents in South London. Sarmiento was brought as a substitute for Freddie Ladapo in the 57th minute, giving Ipswich fans their first look at the new acquisition.

Kieffer Moore’s Situation

Ipswich are one of many Championship clubs hoping to recruit Kieffer Moore, who is on loan from Bournemouth, this January. The striker has not started a single Premier League game for Bournemouth this season and is expected to spend the second half of the season in the second division.

Although Ipswich will be anxious to close the deal, a recent revelation implies that the player will choose other clubs. According to Alan Nixon, Moore is expected to pursue the best arrangement for himself, including the greatest potential compensation.

Unfortunately for Ipswich, this would put Leeds United in the driver’s seat for the Wales international, given they have the greatest pay budget among the teams interested in Moore.
