Ipswich Town Seek To Know About On-loan Birmingham City Man

According to the East Anglian Daily Times, Ipswich Town have inquired about Fulham striker Jay Stansfield ahead of the January transfer window.

Ipswich Town are aiming to strengthen their squad next month.

Stansfield, 21, has made 21 Championship appearances on loan for Birmingham City this season. So far in the second division, the youthful striker has five goals and one assist.

He shined during a year in League One for Exeter City in 2022/23, scoring nine goals and assisting on seven others.

Stansfield attracted a lot of attention over the summer, but it was Birmingham City who came out on top. However, it appears that they may lose him next month.

According to the report, while Fulham may want a significant price to part ways with him, Ipswich Town are capable of handing them a proposal to consider.

It goes on to state that Ipswich Town may be able to offer more than £3 million in salary and £15k per week while remaining under FFP.

A dangerous thought

Ipswich Town have enjoyed an incredible season under Kieran McKenna.

They presently sit second in the Championship and are the only team putting pressure on league leaders Leicester City.

The Tractor Boys are in a great position to gain promotion to the Premier League after only one year in League One, and they appear to be planning to reinforce next month.
