Ipswich Town manager offers the latest on Manchester United loanee Brandon Williams.

Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna confirmed that Brandon Williams is still with Manchester United.

Ipswich Town has been without the loan player since the end of December owing to an injury.

Williams, 23, joined the Championship promotion contenders on loan last summer until the end of the season.

According to TWTD, McKenna has provided an update on his situation: “He’s still with United.”

Williams has made 17 appearances for Ipswich this season and has two goals.

He is a valuable full-back option for them, and having him back in shape will help their promotion chances.

The former England youth international is back at Old Trafford for further evaluation, but he will be ready to return to Portman Road to gain more playing time.

He has spent his entire professional career with Manchester United. The Manchester native rose through the Premier League giants’ academy systems, becoming a fixture at various young levels.

Williams has 51 appearances for the Red Devils’ senior squad, including a loan spell with Norwich City in the 2021/22 season.

He has impressed since joining Ipswich last year as they seek promotion to the top flight.

McKenna’s side triumphed 4-0 away to Millwall Friday night and are currently in fourth place in the rankings. They trail second-place Leeds United by three points, but they have a game in hand.

The Tractor Boys’ next game will be away to Swansea City, where they want to maintain their momentum.
