Ipswich Town Leading The Race For Tottenham Wide Man

According to GiveMeSport, three Premier League clubs are interested in signing Ryan Sessegnon on a free transfer this summer, with recently promoted Ipswich Town leading the fight for the wide man.

It has been widely speculated in recent weeks that Sessegnon will be allowed to depart Tottenham on a free transfer this summer as the North London club revamps its roster.

GiveMeSport backs up this assertion, stating that, while Spurs have the option of extending Sessegnon’s contract by a year, they do not intend to do so.

This is because the left-back wants to leave, and Ange Postecoglou’s men don’t want to stand in his way.

Competition intensifying for Ryan Sessegnon

According to GiveMeSport, a few top-flight clubs are already surrounding Sessegnon, drawn to the chance of obtaining a player of his caliber for free.

Ipswich are thought to be at the head of the queue, and if the Tractor Boys sign the Englishman, he will play as a left-winger, with Leif Davis remaining a left-back.

However, the paper notes that Sessegnon’s projected shift to Portman Road is still in its’very early’ stages and is not yet agreed upon.

According to the magazine, Crystal Palace and Wolves are also interested in signing the Spurs player after learning that he will be permitted to leave N17.

One would hope that Sessegnon has left his injury problems behind him and is able to maintain his fitness for an extended length of time. At his best, the 24-year-old is unquestionably capable of being a regular starter in the Premier League.
