Ipswich Town given green light to sign Kieran McKenna favorite player
|Chelsea has now initiated talks with a Premier League rival to sell their £22 million-rated talent.
While Chelsea fans may be paying special attention to any incomings during the summer transfer window, there are plenty of players connected with moves away from Stamford Bridge. It’s clear that the squad needs to be reduced in size.
For example, journalist Fabrizio Romano claims on X that Aston Villa has already finalized a deal to recruit Chelsea left-back Ian Maatsen. Romano stated that Maatsen will cost Villa £37.5 million this summer. Everyone is only waiting for an official announcement.
Could another Chelsea player be about to follow him out the exit doors?
Ipswich Town in talks to sign Chelsea’s Omari Hutchinson
On Thursday, Romano revealed via X that recently promoted Premier League team Ipswich Town are in talks with Chelsea to capture Omari Hutchinson.
It is understood that Ipswich is attempting to sign the 20-year-old attacker. He had a very good loan spell with them last season.
Talks are currently ongoing for a permanent relocation to Portman Road.

Furthermore, The Daily Mail claims that Ipswich are attempting to buy Chelsea’s Hutchinson for £22 million.
The Blues’ playmaker is a top summer target for the East Anglian side. Kieran McKenna, their manager, hopes to complete the signing.
Could the Blues regret this one?
If this transfer happens, Chelsea could look back at this one as a mistake.
Ipswich manager McKenna described Hutchinson’s performance as “excellent” in an interview with the East Anglian Daily Times in September last year.
The Chelsea Chronicle does not mind Hutchinson getting a chance with the Blues’ first team next year. At the very least, they could monitor him during the preseason.
However, it’s understandable that the Chelsea youngster would want to move somewhere to play regular Premier League games.
