Ipswich Town boss is delighted with the overall performance v Birmingham City

Kieran McKenna, Ipswich Town’s manager, expressed satisfaction with the Blues’ performance in their 3-1 victory over Birmingham City at Portman Road.

Conor Chaplin gave Town the lead with his 11th goal of the season, tying him with Nathan Broadhead at the top of the club’s goal scoring charts, and after Jordan James equalised for the visitors in first-half injury time, subs Jeremy Sarmiento and Omari Hutchinson scored on 81 and two minutes into injury time, respectively, to seal a well-deserved three points.

“I felt it was a really nice performance, I must say. “I enjoyed it and was pleased with almost every aspect,” McKenna stated.

“I thought we were incredibly good off the ball, aggressive against a pretty talented football team, and they had very few opportunities to establish confidence in the game.
