Ipswich Town are looking at possible move for midfield target but there is a problem

According to journalist Alan Nixon, Ipswich Town are interested in signing a Championship midfield target, but his price ‘may be a problem’.

Kieran McKenna, who recently signed a new deal with Ipswich, is preparing his Tractor Boys squad for next season’s Premier League campaign.

Ipswich are set to back McKenna in the market as they look to avoid relegation back to the top tier.

McKenna is searching for a prospective addition from a club he faced in the Championship last season, specifically Coventry City’s Ben Sheaf.

Ipswich are looking into a deal with someone they faced twice in the Championship last season.

However, Coventry’s asking price is said to ‘might be a problem’ for Ipswich.

Coventry are asking for more than Ipswich’s target, Nottingham Forest’s Lewis O’Brien, who is valued at less than £10 million.

Sheaf, a youth product of Premier League heavyweights Arsenal, is also garnering interest from Luton Town, who are looking to rebuild following relegation.
