Insider Shares This Week’s Rehab Plans for Trevor Lawrence

The Jacksonville Jaguars, who had led 28-21 early in the fourth quarter, were defeated 34-31 by the Cincinnati Bengals without Joe Burrow on Monday in a crucial game.

However, Trevor Lawrence, the quarterback, had an ankle injury late in the fourth quarter that resulted in a diagnosis of a high ankle sprain, meaning they lost more than just the game.

Although high ankle sprains are often the most dangerous kind, Jeff Howe reports that Lawrence will receive round-the-clock rehabilitation in the hopes of playing this weekend against the Cleveland Browns.

Before leaving the game, Lawrence had an excellent performance, completing 22 of 29 pass attempts for 258 yards and two touchdowns. He also scored a touchdown on the ground.

Although Jacksonville still has a very good record (8-4) after the loss, they are only one game ahead of the Houston Texans and Indianapolis Colts for the top spot in the AFC South.

Lawrence’s stats are lower than they were the previous year when the Jaguars carved a path into the playoffs thanks to an incredible second half of the season.

He has thrown for 3,004 yards, but just 14 passing touchdowns this year, down from 25 the previous year. Additionally, he has thrown seven interceptions so far this season, up from eight in the entire previous year.

The Jaguars, who include players like wide receivers Calvin Ridley and Christian Kirk as well as running back Travis Etienne, are undoubtedly among the most promising young teams for the upcoming several seasons.

But if they are to advance, their quarterback must be able to play.
