Insider Provides Injury Update on Two Key Seahawks Running Backs

The Seattle Seahawks were riding high with a 5-2 record less than a month and a half ago, and winning the NFC West this season seemed a real possibility.

However, since earning their fifth win of the 2023 season against the Cleveland Browns in Week 8, the Seahawks have lost four of their last five games, and making the playoffs may no longer be in the cards for the team this season.

Seattle will try to get things back on track when they travel to face the rival San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

The 49ers have been playing well recently, so defeating them will be difficult, but the Seahawks should have running backs Kenneth Walker III and Zach Charbonnet available for the game.

Having Walker and Charbonnet available would be a huge help for a Seattle team that might have to start Drew Lock under center if Geno Smith’s current groin injury keeps him out.

Of course, the Seahawks and their running back tandem will be facing a 49ers defense that has allowed the fewest rushing yards in the NFL this season, so success on the ground won’t be easy for Seattle.

The Seahawks are currently the No. 8 team in the NFC playoff picture, trailing the Green Bay Packers for the final spot in the conference’s postseason bracket with a 6-6 record.

It will be difficult to beat San Francisco on Sunday, but Seattle needs the win to keep its playoff hopes alive.
