Insider Provides Current Information on Nick Siranni’s Future

What happens next for the Philadelphia Eagles following a crushing loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wild card game is uncertain, particularly when it comes to head coach Nick Siranni’s future.

Rumors surrounding his fate with the organization have persisted, and while NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo claimed Saturday that the franchise has yet to decide whether or not to keep him, he believes coaching staff changes would occur regardless.

“Siranni met with owner Jeffrey Lurie on Friday to present his plan for how to get the Eagles out of this rut and also for his plan for the coaching staff,” Garafolo said in a press release. “… We anticipate staff changes if Siranni remains, although this has yet to be determined.

This is a pivotal moment for the Eagles, who began the 2023 season as a favorite with a high-paid quarterback but finished as one of the most disappointing teams.

Siranni is at the center of it all following the late-season collapse, and he may be searching for a new job if the Eagles determine they can improve without him on the bench.

The Eagles’ next move is entirely up to Lurie and, most likely, general manager Howie Roseman.

There are lots of competent head coaches on the market, but the squad may prefer to preserve continuity on the bench and hope to comeback in 2024 following a disappointing 2023 season.

New assistants could help, but Siranni is certain to be on the hot seat for the entire 2024 season if he stays with the squad.
