For Week 14 against the 49ers, neither Seahawks player’s status is known.

In the Seattle Seahawks’ Thursday night loss to the Dallas Cowboys, the team sustained two significant injuries.

Jordyn Brooks, the starting linebacker, sustained an ankle injury in the first quarter and was originally listed by the team as probable to return in the second half. Devin Bush took his place after he was downgraded to doubtful after the X-rays were received. He was out for the night. Zach Charbonnet, a rookie running back, attempted a botched fourth-and-one run towards the end of the game, which was his last play of the evening. Due to a knee injury, he had to leave the game; DeeJay Dallas completed the remaining minutes.

Pete Carroll gave updates on both players on Friday, and while the news regarding Charbonnet appears to be somewhat encouraging, there is still a great deal of uncertainty regarding the severity of Brooks’ ankle sprain.

Pete Carroll said Jordyn Brooks’ ankle injury is a sprain, but no word on the variety/severity as they got back to Seattle early this a.m. and he hasn’t yet been examined. Still sounds like Zach Charbonnet avoided a serious injury to his knee. Carroll again called it a bruise.

Kenneth Walker might return in time for the Seahawks’ rematch with the San Francisco 49ers, which would help to offset the loss of Charbonnet. Devin Bush is next in line if Brooks has to miss time, followed by Jon Rhattigan and Nick Bellore.
