Injury Update: 3 players confirmed to be out in Birmingham City v Ipswich match

Birmingham City’s treatment room is nearly empty for the first time this season.

Alex Pritchard is set to return to training next week, leaving just long-term absentee Alfie Chang unavailable.

Pritchard has played only 45 minutes for Blues after coming from Sunderland in January owing to a calf injury. According to interim manager Mark Venus, Pritchard will resume training on Monday.

“Alex is planning to train on Monday. “That will be another player fit and ready for selection,” Venus stated.Blues are taking a cautious approach with George Hall, despite his progress.

Venus said that George is fit and has played some under-21 minutes. Because of his injury history, George is progressing at a slower rate than the other guys. George is a young kid with a lot of potential, and we are excited to get him on the first-team pitch. To be honest, we’re very excited about him.

Dion Sanderson, who missed a month due to an ankle injury, is expected to return to the Blues team against Ipswich Town this Saturday. Chang, who has been out since August due to a major knee injury, has been cycling to enhance his fitness.
