Indianapolis Colts Wide Receiver Michael Pittman Jr. passes the concussion protocol

The Indianapolis Colts got some good news before of their Week 17 game against the Los Angeles Raiders.

According to head coach Shane Steichen, star receiver Michael Pittman Jr. has cleared the concussion protocol once more.

Last Friday, the receiver completed the protocol as well, but was ruled out of Week 16 due to symptoms. The Colts were defeated by the Atlanta Falcons in that game.

Pittman received a vicious blow against the Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittman suffered a concussion in Week 15 after being hit by Steelers defensive back Damontae Kazee. Kazee was dismissed for the hit, and Pittman was down for several minutes.

Pittman remarked after the game that it was the “pure grace of God” that allowed him to walk to the locker room.

Pittman is crucial to the Colts’ offensive attack

Pittman leads the Colts in receptions, yards received, and touchdowns received. This season, the receiver has 99 catches for 1,062 yards and four touchdowns. The quick rookie Joshua Downs comes in second with 63 receptions.

The Colts need a win in Week 17 since they are tied for first place in the AFC South with the Jaguars and Texans.
