Inactives for Week 18: Cleveland vs. Cincinnati

The Browns and Bengals square off in the season finale in 2023 on the banks of the Ohio River.

For the first time in a long time, this Week 18 game is meaningless because the Browns have clinched a playoff spot and their opponent is out.

Cleveland’s ticket has already been punched, and they may rest some of their key players on Sunday. However, with the lingering injuries that this squad already has, they will not be able to rest all of their players, particularly in the secondary.

CLEVELAND INACTIVES

Cornerback – Greg Newsome II

Safety – Juan Thornhill

Wide Receiver – Amari Cooper

Wide Receiver – Marquise Goodwin

Kicker – Dustin Hopkins

Cornerback – Mike Ford Jr.

Defensive End – Myles Garrett

CINCINNATI INACTIVES

Wide Receiver – Tee Higgins

Running Back – Chris Evans

Offensive Tackle – D’Ante Smith

Cornerback – Chidobe Awuzie

Center – Trey Hill

Tight End – Irv Smith Jr.

Defensive Tackle – Travis Bell

The Bengals’ season could come to an end on Sunday. Tee Higgins, Ja’Marr Chase, and Joe Mixon are all expected to sign new contracts. Keeping all of those guys together in the future will be difficult.

Cleveland just needs to get through this game without getting hurt.

They’ve been fighting the injury bug all year and can’t afford any more. Given the inclement weather, the Browns need to get out of Cincinnati as healthy as possible as they prepare for the Wild Card round of the playoffs. The Browns and Bengals finish the 2023 regular season, and Cleveland hopes to make a deep postseason run.
