Newcastle United go to Burnley on Saturday for their next Premier League match, which kicks off at 3pm. There will be no live UK television broadcast.

Burnley drew with Newcastle’s direct rivals, Manchester United, last week, and while relegation appears to be almost certain for Vincent Kompany’s side, they will be hoping to pick up points again this week to delay the inevitable, if not pull off one of the Premier League’s greatest escapes.

If Newcastle wins, Burnley will almost certainly be relegated, with their only chance of survival being to win their remaining games after us and hope that other results go their way. A hefty order, really.

Following their relegation to Sheffield United last week, the Magpies might end the season like the Premier League’s Grim Reaper.

Sutton is expecting Newcastle to run into difficulties at Turf Moor

That being said, we must first defeat Burnley, and Chris Sutton, who predicted the Magpies’ score for the BBC, is skeptical that they will have an easy day on Saturday.

“I am at this game for 5 Live, and I am really looking forward to it because both teams have hit a bit of form.

“I used to play for Blackburn so I always get a nice reception when I go to Turf Moor, but I have to say I admire how Burnley have kept going this season.

“Vincent Kompany’s side should have beaten Manchester United last week, but they have still given themselves a chance of staying up with three games to go.

“They will throw everything at this game, while Newcastle are in the mix for sixth place and will be right up for it too.

“I love what Alexander Isak is doing for the Magpies but, like his team-mate Anthony Gordon, his numbers do drop off when they are on the road.

“Both players should have a chance to improve their away stats on Saturday, but I don’t think Newcastle will have things all their own way.

“Sutton’s prediction: 3-3″

Newcastle must win their four remaining games

Sutton believes there will be a lot of goals and a share of the points. We hope he is mistaken.

Newcastle has four games left, including this one, and every one of them is winnable, including Manchester United at Old Trafford, and if we’re being honest, we should win each one.

The stronger we end the season, the easier it will be to sign new players in the summer. “Look at what we did last season when half our squad was injured, imagine what we can do next season with you as part of the team” . With that presentation, I believe I have just talked myself into the position of Director of Football.
