In response to James Trafford’s critiques after Burnley’s loss to Bournemouth, Vincent Kompany speaks

Vincent Kompany has leapt to James Trafford’s defence following Burnley’s damaging defeat against Bournemouth.

The Cherries, who believed they might take advantage of Burnley’s lack of height from corners, constantly pressed the 20-year-old.

Even though Trafford made a few crucial stops, he was erratic with the ball in his hands and frequently made snap decisions, which led to the home crowd yelling “dodgy keeper.”

The goalkeeper was criticized as well for his part in Bournemouth’s victory, since he was well off his line when Philip Billing chipped in from 45 yards.

The Clarets suffered a crushing 2-1 loss on the South Coast, and it turned out to be the game’s turning point.

However, Kompany cleared his goalkeeper of any responsibility by implying that Vitinho was to responsible for the Clarets’ afternoon’s possession losses inside their own half.

He stated, “There’s not much he can do about the second goal.” “You take 90% of the goalkeepers [in the division] when you give the ball away like this.”

Aside from that, though, he is exhibiting a great deal of maturity for his age. He’ll be alright; he’ll have a successful career.

However, he now feels the same need to perform as everyone else. This is the team’s collective message: never give up.

“These guys don’t know anything else, so you’re going to have to go through these times. It’s their work and their life.

It all depends on how you respond because sometimes you’re the best and on top, and other times you’re on the bottom. You need to overcome it.
