In January, West Ham will make an offer for a “outstanding” Premier League player

According to ESPN, West Ham is thinking about signing Harry Maguire during the January transfer window.

The 30-year-old defender was extensively connected with a move to the Hammers, but nothing came of it. They had several discussions with Manchester United, but Maguire was adamant on staying at the club and competing for a spot.

West Ham appears to still be interested in him and may make a play for him if things don’t get better for him soon.
Maguire said that a contract between the two clubs wasn’t reached for him during the summer while he was on international duty this week.

He has made it plain that he wants to compete for his position and that he won’t waste much time waiting around.

For roughly £80 million, Maguire signed with the Red Devils in the summer of 2019 and has since made over 175 appearances for the team in all competitions.

He has had trouble getting regular games under Erik ten Hag, and as a result, he also lost his leadership. He is now vying with veteran Jonny Evans for a spot on the bench after falling behind Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez, and Victor Lindelof in the pecking order.

That wasn’t always the case. Despite the fact that Paul Merson called him “outstanding” for his World Cup performance in 2022, it is unclear how long he will play at Old Trafford.

Similar to what he did with Craig Dawson, Moyes might play a significant part in restoring his career. The most important thing to remember is that Maguire will play frequently at the London stadium, and he should be ready to accept a transfer if one is made.
