In a tight spot QPR manager knows that the journey to Huddersfield Town will be a “big challenge.”

Prior to their Saturday trip to John Smith’s Stadium, Queens Park Rangers are now in the bottom three of the Championship standings after a dismal start to the new season.

Despite a dismal start to the new season that raised concerns about his status at the club, Queens Park Rangers manager Gareth Ainsworth is adamant that he is happy with the work he has on his hands.

Following Neil Critchley’s brief tenure at Loftus Road in February, former Wycombe Wanderers manager Ainsworth was able to keep the team out of danger of relegation, albeit in large part because Reading had lost the six points that separated the two teams in the league standings.

Before their trip to West Yorkshire on Saturday afternoon, QPR is currently three points below Huddersfield Town in the bottom three after just 11 games played. This season, they haven’t fared any better.

If they don’t start winning games at the John Smith’s Stadium, it has led to rumors regarding Ainsworth’s future. However, the QPR manager told West London Sport, “I’m in a lucky position.” My fantastic board has supported me in whatever I have wanted to pursue. These folks are decent.

“I don’t look at anything, read anything, and I never feel affected by it. I’m an optimistic person, and I’ll keep looking for methods to improve. Instead of being all doom and gloom, I see it as a huge challenge. I firmly think we can finish higher than most people had predicted and anticipated.

The board observes that hope. At my previous team, I worked really hard and achieved results, so I have a great deal of confidence that this club can succeed this season.

After undergoing knee surgery last month, left back Morgan Fox is scheduled to miss QPR’s journey north, and center back Steve Cook is questionable due to a hamstring issue.

But after signing as a free agent last month, right-back Reggie Cannon, an international for the United States, might be ready to make his club debut.
