Image: CEO Ashton Looks Great on Town Tattoo Commitment

Town CEO Mark Ashton has followed through on his threat to have the Town Suffolk Punch tattooed on his wrist if the Blues earn promotion to the Premier League.

Ashton already had a tattoo of the Lentonbrook Foundation emblem, which he founded last year, and promised Life’s a Pitch TV in December that the horse would be added if Town made the top flight.

“I also had a conversation with the family and have an agreement with the family,” he stated. “When we get promoted, the horse will go on that wrist. And you can hold me to it.”

In the first of a two-part interview with TownTV, Ashton confirmed that his promise had been kept.

“I did say it would be done,” he replied. “This is my tribute to the fans, the town, and the Suffolk community.

“Three years ago, I felt that this community welcomed me and has looked after me ever since. So, wherever I go, whatever I do, that’s a tip of the hat and thank you.

Brett Johnson, one of the Three Lions wing of the US ownership, made a similar pledge after the takeover in 2021, but there is no visual evidence that he has followed through on it.
