“If He Can’t Play For Us”: Boss Talks About Burnley Star’s Fitness Situation While on Loan

Despite traveling with the group, AGF Aarhus manager Uwe Rosler thinks that Burnley loan star Bailey Peacock-Farrell will not play for Northern Ireland because of an injury.

Since joining the Clarets in 2019, the Northern Irishman has not been able to establish himself as the team’s first-choice shot-stopper.

He left Turf Moor this season to sign a season-long loan with Danish team AGF, and he has made 12 goalkeeping appearances for Rosler’s team across all competitions.

On Sunday, AGF defeated Viborg 2-0 in the league; however, Peacock-Farrell was injured and missed the game, thus Jesper Hansen started.

According to Rosler, the 27-year-old’s ailment will be assessed during his time at the Northern Ireland national team camp.

But since he was unable to play for his club, the AGF president believes that Peacock-Farrell will not be representing Northern Ireland.

Rosler told the Danish outlet bold.dk, “From what I have heard, he will travel over there, where they will examine him.”

“But if he can’t play for us, I don’t think he can play for them either, so I don’t think he will play.”

Peacock-Farrell, who is on loan at Burnley in Denmark, will be eager to return to the field as soon as possible.
