‘I want to return’: Major clue about 22-year-old’s future at Leeds United is revealed as he sets a goal for promotion.

Crysencio Summerville has dropped a big hint on his Leeds United future by insisting he wants to get back to the Premier League with the Whites.

Summerville was speaking in an interview with leedsunited.com after winning the club’s player of the month award for October, having scored five goals and provided three assists in five matches.

The 22-year-old has been one of the division’s stand-out players this season with 10 goal contributions already. Only Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Sammie Szmodics and Adam Armstrong have more.

Leeds rejected interest from a number of Premier League clubs in order to keep Summerville in the summer, including Burnley, who as per Fabrizio Romano, saw a £20 million offer knocked back.

But his fine start to the season has already won admiring glances from across England’s top-flight, with Romano again reporting that clubs are keeping an eye on his situation.

Summerville drops major hint on Leeds future

Summerville, though, has dropped a big hint he will be going no where in January by insisting it is Leeds he wants to get back to the Premier League with this season.

He said: “To every young player, what I can say is, you have to enjoy every minute when you step on the pitch. I think I’m enjoying this year more, I want to return back with Leeds United to the Premier League, it’s about fighting for every ball and every point.”

The fact he has admitted he is enjoying this season more is a strong message that players can sometimes drop down a league, and yet it still be beneficial for their career.

Summerville enjoyed a breakthrough campaign last year but has established himself as a really key player this season, a role which someone like him clearly thrives off.

There is no clearer sign yet that Summerville will be going no where in the January window which will undoubtedly be vital to Leeds’ hopes of getting promoted.
