“I Don’t Need A Day Off”: Burnley’s loan star is unwilling to step aside

Bailey Peacock-Farrell, the goalkeeper for Burnley who is on loan to AGF Aarhus in Denmark, has stated that he doesn’t require any time off and that he is prepared to play in every game, including the cup encounter tonight.

The Northern Irish goalkeeper has had difficulty making an impression at the Clarets and has been loaned out from Turf Moor on several occasions.

He is on a season-long loan from Vincent Kompany’s team to Danish team AGF this season, and he hopes to be their undisputed top player.

He is aware that the manager makes the final decision about the goalkeeping position, but he is prepared to play whenever the club needs him, including tonight in the cup against Ishoj IF.

“Personally, I would like to play all matches”, Peacock-Farrell told Danish outlet Bold.dk.

“If you talk to Jesper [Hansen], I think he will say the same.

“So, I am fit and available.

“However, the head coach has the last say over who he wants to play with.”

Although he is aware that managers frequently want to switch goalkeepers for cup matches, the 27-year-old stated that he needs no time off from playing and that he wants to play as many games as possible.

“In some regions, different players compete in the league and cup.

“However, I think it’s crucial to play as many games as you can.

“I don’t need a day off, then.”

Whether Peacock-Farrell gets the nod to play in tonight’s Danish Cup match is still up in the air.
