“We never waned, had to keep trying to find ways to get a goal and it didn’t look like we were going to.”
“We probably didn’t play our best, a lot of our players were nowhere near their normal levels but ultimately we got three points.”
West Ham manager David Moyes acknowledges his team were not at their best during their thrilling late win over Burnley.
The Clarets were defeated 2-1 by two late goals, their eighth consecutive home defeat.
It happened after Vincent Kompany’s team had taken the lead thanks to Jay Rodriguez’s penalty.
Moyes admitted after the game that the Hammers were arguably lucky to take three points.
“I didn’t see it [coming] at half-time,” he added. “But we went in at 0-0, which was probably as good as it could have gotten for us because we hadn’t played well at all in the first half.”
