The current Nottingham Forest player is one of the best to have ever come from Cobham.

Callum Hudson-Odoi is making fantastic steps at Nottingham Forest and says that leaving Chelsea was a difficult decision, but one he had to make to advance in his career.

Chelsea has a history of releasing talented players before they become absolute superstars, like as Kevin De Bruyne, who played for the club but left before achieving prominence. Mohamed Salah is another example, as is Lewis Hall, who has recently joined Newcastle and has the potential to become an amazing superstar.

However, Odoi claims that his position is different, as he had to rebuild himself abroad for his own good.

In an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail, he stated, “I was given opportunities at Chelsea and played a lot of games. But I eventually had to look at it and recognize that, while it had been pleasant, it was time to leave. “It was a big decision, but the right one.”You must know when it is time to move on. And that was my moment. A situation of needing to get out of there—not in a terrible way—to go get my football and have fun again.”

Nottingham Forest’s unbeaten start

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side has had a strong start to the season, winning two and drawing three of their first five league games, with Odoi playing an important role.

The 23-year-old has already played 369 minutes this season, but his best performance came at Anfield, when he curled in one of the most beautiful finishes you’ll ever see from an away team. It helped Liverpool suffer their first defeat of the season while also securing a vital three points for Forest.

They will travel to Stamford Bridge in a few days, and Callum, who scored and celebrated against Chelsea last season, hopes the crowd will cheer him on rather than boo him.

“I hope they recognize and maybe applaud me or something,” he said.
