Green Bay Packers receive major defensive news ahead of their game against the Dallas Cowboys

In the Wild Card round of the playoffs, the Green Bay Packers will face the NFC East champion Dallas Cowboys.

The Packers needed to win their final three games of the season to have a chance to make the playoffs, and they achieved just that.

As the Packers prepare for their wild-card matchup in Dallas, one of their defenders received some important news about the 2023-24 season.

Keisean Nixon did not make the Pro Bowl, but he was named to at least one All-Pro team in 2023. Nixon was chosen a first-team kickoff returner on the NFLPA’s second annual All-Pro team (which is voted on solely by players).

Nixon had the most kickoff returns in the NFL. He had eight more returns than his nearest competitor. He also led the NFL in kickoff return yardage. His 782 yards in the kickoff return yardage race were 271 more than the second place finisher.

Nixon ranks fourth among players with at least 10 kickoff returns in terms of average kickoff return distance. He earned the NFL’s 10th longest kickoff return this season, a 51-yarder.

If the Packers are to have a chance to win against Dallas, they must execute in all three phases of the game. Getting a head start on field position with Nixon’s good returns is a good place to start.
