Georgia’s Starting Linebacker Is surprisingly set to Enter the Portal

Another player has entered the Georgia Bulldogs’ transfer portal. So far, here’s what we know.

The 2023 Georgia football season ended in a 27-24 loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide, at least according to the roster. With the setback, there will undoubtedly be NFL Draft Declarations, looming NCAA Transfer Portal entries, and roster movement unlike anything you’ve ever seen for the Bulldogs at this stage in the season.

One of the most recent additions to the portal is Georgia Bulldogs linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson as reported by Matt Zenitz of 247 Sports.

Georgia linebacker Jamon Dumas-Johnson is expected to enter the transfer portal, sources tell @247sports. Dumas-Johnson, who was a preseason first-team All-American, has career totals of 126 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks.

Dumas-Johnson, who started two seasons for the Bulldogs, was a Butkus Award semi-finalist in 2022 and was instrumental in the Bulldogs’ unprecedented 29-game victory streak. During the 2023 season, he started nine games for the Bulldogs before suffering an injury that forced him to miss the rest of the season.
