Georgia would be the favorite against the two national title contenders

The 2023 college football season is coming to an end, and the national championship has been decided.

An entertaining weekend of semifinal games established that the No. 1 Michigan Wolverines and No. 2 Washington Huskies were the cream of the crop, securing their spots in next Monday’s national championship game.

The No. 6 Georgia Bulldogs also defeated the No. 5 Florida State Seminoles this past weekend. According to a recent source, the back-to-back national champions will not have a chance to defend their title, but they will be favored against the two candidates for this year’s crown.

On Monday, Hard Rock Bet released a potential scenario for the national championship game, pitting Georgia against both the Wolverines and the Huskies. They predict that Georgia will be favored over Michigan (-2.5) and Washington (-6.5).

Although this is a hypothetical scenario, it would be interesting to see how these teams stack up on the field. A case might be made for who had the superior players at each position on the field, but the college football world will never know how that hypothetical scenario would play out.

The No. 1 Michigan Wolverines will face the No. 2 Washington Huskies in Houston, TX on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
