Georgia signs 4-star edge rusher, best prospect from New Jersey

Following a series of Bulldogs-friendly forecasts in recent weeks, four-star edge rusher Darren Ikinnagbon made it official on Saturday.

The top-ranked prospect in New Jersey committed to Georgia at the G-Day game, beating out Notre Dame, Ohio State, and Penn State, among others.

Ikinnagbon attends Hillside High School in New Jersey and plays football there. He is listed at 6-foot-5 and 251 pounds and is considered a versatile defensive lineman. He is a multi-sport athlete, having competed in wrestling, basketball, and track.

Ikinnagbon praised UGA earlier this spring, saying, “The coaching staff is a family.” Everything over there is great. There’s a strong desire to win. “Everything they do down there is for the win.” Ikinnagbon is the Bulldogs’ sixth 2025 commit and the second defensive lineman, joining three-star Stephon Shivers.

Ikinnagbon, who attended Georgia’s spring game, revealed his commitment on April 13.
