The 2024 Reese’s Senior Bowl began this week in Mobile, Alabama, with draft-eligible athletes preparing to engage in workouts in front of NFL personnel before the week ends with an annual scrimmage game on February 3.

Seven Georgia Bulldogs accepted invitations to the event: center Sedrick Van Pran, wide receivers Ladd McConkey and Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint, running back Daijun Edwards, defensive backs Javon Bullard and Tykee Smith, and long snapper William Mote.

Although he was originally named on the roster, Van Pran’s name was deleted on Monday for an unclear reason. These decisions are typically made based on injury concerns or the advise of the athletes’ representation.

Van Pran’s departure is unlikely to damage his chances in the 2024 NFL draft, which will be held in Detroit from April 25 to 27.

Van Pran is regarded as one of the top center prospects in the whole draft class. He led Georgia’s offensive line for three seasons, earning back-to-back national titles from 2022 to 2022. In 2023, he was named to the All-SEC first team and received the SEC Jacobs Blocking Trophy, which is awarded to the conference’s best offensive lineman.

Van Pran still has the option to work out in front of NFL representatives at the combine (February 29-March 3) and Georgia’s pro day (March 13).
