Georgia freshman defensive back will enter the transfer portal

On Christmas Day, Georgia Bulldogs freshman cornerback Daniel Harris declared his intention to enter the NCAA transfer portal.

On Christmas Day, the NCAA transfer portal is fully operational. Two notable names who entered the portal were Arizona quarterback Jayden de Laura and Florida State quarterback Tate Rodemaker. Later that day, a top SEC cornerback declared his intention to use the site.

Daniel Harris, a former four-star cornerback in the Class of 2023, will transfer from the Georgia Bulldogs. Harris declared his decision to use the transfer portal in a lengthy social media message.

The tweet was published by the now-former Georgia defensive back on X, the website formerly known as Twitter.

“I have decided to enter the transfer portal with three years left of eligibility,” Harris told reporters. He expressed gratitude to his Bulldog teammates, head coach Kirby Smart, and God. He also used an hourglass emoji to indicate that he still has plenty of time.

Harris attended Gulliver Prep, a co-ed private school in Miami, Florida, before attending Georgia. According to 247Sports’ recruiting services, he was a four-star player. He was ranked 163rd overall on their aggregate rankings and inside the Top 20 at cornerback.

Prior to his pledge, Harris was offered by programs like as Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State, among others. They could be schools to keep an eye out for.

It doesn’t always matter whether the program is good or poor. Nowadays, all a player has to do to get a better scenario is go to the transfer portal. This is the path to take.
