Georgia Corner decides to enter the Portal despite having stated that he would return.

Georgia cornerback Julian Humphrey has announced his intention to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal. Humphrey and Daniel Harris were spoken about going to the portal, as many players do this time of year, but after this tweet from him, the same tweet Harris made after the bowl game, it appeared that he will be sticking in Athens.

He is, after all, leaving. This season, Humphrey competed with sophomore corner Daylen Everette for the privilege to start with likely first-round pick Kamari Lassiter. Everette eventually gained the starting role, leaving Humphrey on the bench for the majority of the season. Humphrey also suffered a shoulder injury against Ole Miss, limiting his playing time for the rest of the season.

Humphrey was a strong defensive contributor for the Bulldogs this season, playing significant snaps as a cornerback. He will have at least two years of eligibility remaining at his next institution. As a top-100 rated defensive back coming out of high school, his recruitment was hotly contested.
