Georgia Bulldogs Could Lose In-State Commitment in 2024

With the transfer portal and NIL signings dominating the new landscape of college football, another typical tendency has been the flipping of commitments many times during the recruiting process.

Some information has emerged about one of the Bulldogs’ 2024 commitments considering switching his commitment.

Dylan Raiola, who moved to Georgia from Arizona over the summer, declared his commitment to Georgia not long before joining the Buford Wolves. When he arrived in Buford, he immediately began recruiting some of his teammates, like KJ Bolden and Eddrick Houston, to come to Georgia. Throughout the summer and regular season, he tore up competition to lead his team to an elite eight appearance, where they were defeated by Grayson H.S.

Raiola is rumored to be shifting his commitment again a few weeks after their season ends. The 5-star quarterback initially signed to Ohio State, then recommitted and joined the Dawgs, but is now said to be switching his commitment to the Nebraska Cornhuskers, where his father played and his uncle presently coaches.

While there has been no formal statement from Raiola’s team, respected sites such as 247Sports Steven Wiltfong have reported this prognosis. Next Wednesday, December 20th, is early signing day, and Kirby Smart and his staff will do all in their power to keep Raiola in Georgia as a Dawg.

The rumors about Raiola and where he might end up will certainly continue until next Wednesday, or whenever the excellent quarterback decides to sign. Regardless, everything is “not true” until Raiola or someone from his camp verifies that he will go.
