Freshman quarterback signs first NIL deal

The early enrollee is already making waves in the NIL space.

Michigan freshman quarterback Jadyn Davis has signed his first publicly reported NIL deal since joining the program. The agreement is with Brighton Ford and was disclosed on social media.

Davis was a four-star recruit from Providence Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina. According to 247Sports, he was ranked eighth among quarterbacks in the 2024 class. Davis was also high school classmates with fellow freshman wide receiver Channing Goodwin.

While the Wolverines may not be at the top of the NIL standings, they have demonstrated a willingness to support their players once they arrive on campus. A rapid NIL contract for an early enrollee is the most recent example of this.

Davis enrolled at Michigan early and participated in bowl practices for the Rose Bowl and the National Championship. With J.J. McCarthy leaving for the NFL, Davis is in the running to start as quarterback this fall. He competes for a position against Alex Orji, Jack Tuttle, Jayden Denegal, and Davis Warren.
