Four-star UGA recruiting prospect departs from Mississippi State

In March, the Georgia Bulldogs extended a scholarship offer to four-star defensive line recruit Jeremiah McCloud.

McCloud has withdrawn his pledge to Mississippi State, which he made in January. McCloud belongs to the class of 2025.

Jeremiah McCloud plays football for Gadsden County High School in Havana, Florida. McCloud is ranked as the No. 15 defensive tackle in the 2025 class and the No. 45 prospect in Florida, according to Rivals.

McCloud recently visited the University of Georgia in March. The four-star defensive tackle is also contemplating the Florida Gators. In fact, Rivals expects McCloud to commit to Florida.

Georgia presently has eight commitments in the class of 2025, including one from defensive lineman Stephon Shivers. The Bulldogs have the nation’s No. 11 recruiting class and are fifth in the SEC, but the 2025 recruiting season is still in its early stages. There is no doubt that Georgia will finish among the top in the country on national signing day.
