Madden Faraimo, a linebacker from San Juan Capistrano (Calif.) JSerra, has narrowed his options to four institutions.

Faraimo is one of the nation’s top linebacker prospects, presently ranked No. 38 in the 247Sports Composite. He’s been on our radar since he was a freshman, and he’s big and athletic enough to play many positions at the next level.

He’s a traditional inside linebacker who can make plays in the box but moves well enough to play outside and has the frame to develop into an edge rusher or 3-4 linebacker at the next level.

On the recruiting front, Faraimo has narrowed his choice of schools to four and will schedule official visits shortly.

“My top four right now are Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon and USC,” he stated. “I do have interest in potentially visiting a few other schools but those are my top four and the schools I’m moving forward with right now.”

Faraimo broke down what stands out about his four finalists:

Notre Dame– “Notre Dame is unique because I value my faith and that is a central part of the University. Notre Dame is highly respected academically as well and I would be honored to play under coach (Marcus) Freeman’s leadership.
