Four-star DB announces scheduled date for his commitment

Jontae Gilbert, a four-star class of 2025 defensive back recruit, has scheduled his commitment date for August 10.

Gilbert is a top football recruit who attends Frederick Douglass High School in Atlanta, Georgia.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound defensive back committed just a few weeks after viewing Georgia football. According to 247Sports, the Douglass standout is the nation’s 14th-best cornerback. Gilbert is the No. 124 recruit nationally and the No. 16 talent in Georgia.

On video, Gilbert demonstrates his versatility. He lines up in the slot and on the outside. The four-star plays both wide receiver and cornerback and has excellent body control when catching passes. Gilbert is a capable blitzer and a decent tackler. Gilbert is a good athlete who frequently appears in press attention.
