Former Town player leaves Championship club

Jake Livermore, a former Ipswich Town loanee, has departed Watford after being released by the Championship club.

The 34-year-old midfielder joined the Hornets last summer after leaving West Brom to complete his six-year contract at the Hawthorns.

Last season, Livermore made 32 appearances and scored three goals for Watford, who finished 15th in the second division.

The former England international is one of three players to be discharged at Vicarage Road.

Livermore played 12 appearances for Ipswich while his loan from Tottenham Hotspur in the first half of the 2010/11 season.

He has been promoted to the Premier League twice in his career, with Hull City and West Brom. He has also earned seven caps for England.
