Ryan Fraser and Trevoh Chalobah, former Ipswich Town loanees, signed new teams on transfer deadline day.

Fraser has joined Southampton on a permanent basis from Newcastle United, signing a two-year contract.

Last season, the 30-year-old winger was on loan at Southampton, where he helped Russell Martin’s team win promotion to the Premier League.

He made 21 appearances for the Blues, scoring six goals while on loan from AFC Bournemouth in 2015/16.

Meanwhile, Chalboah has moved to Crystal Palace from Chelsea on a season-long loan.

The 25-year-old defender was granted permission to depart the club after being excluded from the team’s pre-season tour of the United States.

During his loan from Chelsea in 2018/19, he made 44 appearances for Town and scored once. That season, Ipswich were relegated to League One.
