Former Saguaro OL commits to Alabama

Washington’s football program is being overhauled with the departure of Kalen DeBoer and the arrival of Jedd Fisch, and the roster is following suit, with former Saguaro offensive lineman Parker Brailsford committing to Alabama on Saturday.

Last season, the center allowed just one sack in 612 pass block attempts. Last Monday, he declared that he will be joining the transfer portal.

Brailsford, who stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 275 pounds, redshirted as a freshman in 2022 but started all 15 games for the Huskies during their national runner-up season in 2023. Pro Football Focus ranked him as the country’s second-best center.

He was awarded to the Freshman All-America First Team and the All-Pacific-12 Second Team for his performance.

According to On3 Sports, Brailsford will have three years of eligibility left.

He played for the Saguaro Sabercats in high school and won two Open Division state championships, one as a senior. He played for Jason Mohns, the current TE coach at Arizona State.

ASU did not offer the three-star Brailsford upon graduation from high school in 2022, but that was before Mohns came.

Leif Fautanu, a redshirt senior this autumn, concluded the season as the Sun Devils’ starting center and earned All-Pac-12 honorable mention.
