Former Blues midfielder Lee Evans has signed a two-year agreement with Blackpool after leaving Portsmouth at the end of last season.
The Welshman left Portman Road in January as he neared a return from knee surgery and joined Pompey for the final months as they achieved promotion from League One, the fourth time he has played a role in a club’s elevation to the Championship.
Blackpool will be hoping the 29-year-old can repeat the feat for the sixth time in the coming season.
“It’s a really nice feeling, and I’m delighted to be here and become a Blackpool player,” he told the club’s official website.
“It’s an exciting challenge, and when I spoke with [head coach] Neil Critchley, he sold me on the goal of getting out of this level.
“With the Club just missing out on the play-offs last season, it’s had a chance to build and then kick on again this coming season, which I am proud to be a part of.”
