Former EFL Star Says Ipswich Town Can Get ‘Some Serious Talent’

Former EFL star Adrian Clarke believes Kieran McKenna’s reputation will help Ipswich Town sign some very talented young players on loan during the summer transfer window.

After two consecutive automatic promotions under McKenna, Ipswich are now prepared for life in the Premier League next season.

The highly regarded Ipswich manager formerly worked in academy coaching at Tottenham and Manchester United, and he is well-known for his ability to develop young players.

The way he has helped young players develop at Ipswich has piqued interest, and Clarke believes it will benefit the club during the summer transfer window.

Ipswich are likely to return to the loan market to bolster their squad in the summer, and the former EFL star believes their manager’s reputation will help them attract genuine young talent during the upcoming transfer window.

Clarke said on the What The EFL Podcast: “If you are a Premier League manager or an academy manager or Under-23s manager, you are looking for people who you can trust with good young players who can’t quite get into your team.

“Kieran McKenna would be at the top of most lists.

“They are a lovely club to play for and very appealing for some serious talent to rock up at Portman Road this summer.”

Ipswich are anticipated to rebuild their squad during the summer transfer window in order to prepare for the difficulties of the top division.
