This former Boston Bruins forward will miss a significant amount of time.

Tomas Nosek, a former Boston Bruins forward, signed a one-year contract worth $775,000 with the Florida Panthers this offseason. This comes after the 32-year-old appeared in 36 games for the New Jersey Devils previous season, recording two goals, four assists, and a minus-11 rating.

Overall, Nosek had a difficult year due to injuries and a lack of production. Unfortunately, his 2024-25 campaign has begun on the wrong foot.

Nosek injured his upper body during the Panthers’ most recent preseason game against the Nashville Predators. According to Panthers head coach Paul Maurice, Nosek will be out for “weeks, not days.”

This is undoubtedly sad news for Nosek. The veteran forward is hoping to have a bounce-back season with his new club, but he will now be out for an extended period of time. Here’s hope he recovers quickly and without complications.

In 141 games over two seasons as a Bruin, Nosek had 10 goals, 35 points, and 65 hits.
