Florida anticipated to employ another star of co-offensive line administrator

Florida plans to hire a successor for Darnell Stapleton on their coaching staff.

The Florida Gators have a coaching opening after previous assistant coach Darnell Stapleton left for the NFL to join the Washington Commanders.

Billy Napier has been working to fill the remaining gap on his football coaching staff, and the hire is likely to come soon.

Jonathan Decoster

According to 247Sports Matt Zenitz, Cleveland Browns offensive assistant Jonathan DeCoster is expected to replace the vacancy on the staff as co-offensive line coach. He will assist the Gators offensive line, alongside co-offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Rob Sale.

He has been an offensive assistant with the Cleveland Browns since 2021. In 2021, he worked as an offensive quality control coach before becoming an offensive assistant in 2022.

While working with the club in 2021, the Browns were able to top the NFL in average rushing yards with 5.09, their highest since 1966. That season, Browns running back Nick Chubb finished second in the league in rushing yards.

He started his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Nevada in 2013. Decoster worked with Joel Bitonio at Nevada before he was drafted in the second round by the Cleveland Browns.
