Five-star defensive lineman responds to angry Georgia fan during Alabama official visit

The Bulldogs fan started beef with Georgia’s top 2025 target.

Justus Terry, a five-star defensive line recruit, responded on social media to a Georgia fan who criticized the 2025 prospect’s plan to make an official visit to Alabama this weekend. The Bulldogs fan responded, “This ain’t it,” on Terry’s most recent Instagram post, which included numerous photographs from his visit to Tuscaloosa. Terry reacted using the clown emoji.

Terry is a five-star prospect ranked as the No. 12 overall and No. 2 defensive lineman in the 2025 class. On June 19, he decommitted from USC and quickly secured five Crystal Ball picks for Georgia. He made an official visit to Athens on May 31, followed by a trip to Tuscaloosa this weekend.

Terry described Georgia’s recruiting efforts to Dawgs247 as a “marathon” and stated that he hopes to make a definitive decision in December, though he may decide as early as July: “By December, I’ll know my decision. Really, I’ll know by July, but I’ll wait until December to make my decision.”

USC made advances toward a defensive revival with a solid start to the 2025 recruiting cycle, but its momentum was halted when Terry and fellow five-star defender Isaiah Gibson withdrew their commitments to the program this week. Prior to their decommitments, the Trojans had a top-10 class in 2025 and are now ranked No. 15 in recruitment.

“We will always respect the decisions that each young man and his family make, and we wish them the best,” USC defensive ends coach Shaun Nua tweeted on social media. “We also believe in those in the foxhole alongside us, particularly the warriors with whom we are going to go to battle. The objective will always be to find the best TROJANS. Just don’t get things twisted; this is still USC!”

Terry led Manchester (Ga.) to an 11-3 record last season and the program’s first state title game participation in 26 years as a junior. He finished with 78 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss, 13.0 sacks, two pass breakups, and two forced fumbles, earning MaxPreps Junior All-America second-team accolades.
