Fabrizio Romano offers a transfer report on Leicester and Stefano Sensi

Leicester City believed to be getting closer to signing Stefano Sensi from Inter Milan.

The Foxes have been working on recruiting the 28-year-old to replace Cesare Casadei, who has returned to Chelsea.

According to Fabrizio Romano’s update on X, Leicester are reportedly close to signing Sensi.

According to a transfer insider, Leicester manager Enzo Maresca is only interested in Stefano Sensi, who is close to joining the club.

Romano also stated that Inter will get a fee in the region of €2 million (about £1.3 million) after Leicester completes their final proposal.

And it gets better for the Foxes: Sensi has already negotiated personal terms with Leicester and is eager to transfer to the King Power, according to Romano.

Leicester closing in on ‘strong, technical, fast’ midfielder Stefano Sensi

There have been some intriguing developments in this area during the last 24 hours or so.

If all goes well, Leicester will sign a great midfielder to reinforce their ranks in preparation for an immediate return to the Premier League.

Sensi has had a fantastic career in Italian football, making 56 appearances for Inter and 68 for Sassuolo, and winning nine caps for the Azzurri.

In 2015, Roberto Mancini praised him, saying, “He’s strong, technical, fast, and also has personality.”

It appears that other developments may occur in the next hours. Romano hasn’t said “here we go” yet, but it shouldn’t take long.

Leicester may be delighted with their transfer activity this season, as well as their performance on the pitch.

The Foxes are currently 10 points ahead of third place in the Championship table and will fancy their prospects of returning to the top division on their first attempt.

Leicester City can take a big stride towards the title on Monday night when they host second-placed Ipswich Town at the King Power Stadium.

A win for the Foxes in the 8 p.m. kickoff would put them 10 points ahead of their nearest rivals.
