Exclusive: Colts Star Defensive End Believes Stability Is…

“Consistency And Being The Same Player Every Play” Colts’ Star Defensive End Dayo Odeyingbo believes stability is the key to success.

The Indianapolis Colts have struggled to meet the franchise’s lofty expectations since Andrew Luck’s sudden departure in 2014. The squad has failed to win its division in nearly a decade and has only made the playoffs twice since 2015.

Last season, the Colts had high aspirations, especially after adding talented rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson to their roster. The 21-year-old had a promising start to the season, but his shoulder injury hampered the team’s progress.

Richardson returns in 2024, and the roster includes several other top-tier players. One of these talents is Dayo Odeyingbo, a highly regarded defensive end.

In a recent exclusive interview with Overtime Heroics, Odeyingbo discussed the Colts’ possibilities next year and what it will take to make a long playoff run.

Reggie Roberts said, “Nobody in Indiana enjoyed how the 2023 season ended. In order to achieve a different outcome this season, everyone must improve one facet of their game. What area are you concentrating on?”

Dayo Odeyingbo, a defensive back: “I would have to say consistency and being the same player every play.”

Odeyingbo concluded the season with eight sacks, 38 tackles, and 17 hits, helping the Colts to a 9-8 record. Now in his fourth season with the club, it will be interesting to see what he can do to help this team overcome its obstacles in 2024.
