Ex Oregon TE signs with East Carolina

Ex Oregon tight end Casey Kelly will complete his undergraduate career on the East Coast.

Kelly, who had entered the transfer portal earlier this month, committed to East Carolina on Tuesday. The 6-foot-3, 245-pound sixth-year senior has one year of eligibility left and will be coached by ECU offensive coordinator John David Baker, who coached him at Ole Miss in 2021-22.

Kelly made five catches for 43 yards and two scores for the Ducks this season.

Kelly is the tenth UO scholarship player to commit to a new school this offseason, joining receivers Ashton Cozart (SMU) and Kris Hutson (Washington State), safety Bryan Addison (UCLA), cornerback Trikweze Bridges (Florida), defensive back Cole Martin (Arizona State), running back Dante Dowdell (Nebraska), quarterback Ty Thompson (Tulane), defensive lineman Tevita Pome’e, and outside linebacker Jake Shipley (North Texas).
