Ex Oregon running back signs with Nebraska

Dante Dowdell, a former Oregon running back, will continue his career at the Big Ten.

Dowdell committed to Nebraska on Saturday after entering the transfer portal last month. He still has three years of eligibility left.

This season, the 6-foot-2, 215-pound running back had 17 carries for 90 yards and a score.

Dowdell was a four-star prospect ranked 135th overall and 6th among running backs in the 2023 class by the 247Sports Composite.

Dowdell is the seventh UO scholarship player to commit to a new school this offseason, joining receivers Ashton Cozart (SMU) and Kris Hutson (Washington State), safety Bryan Addison (UCLA), cornerback Trikweze Bridges (Florida), defensive back Cole Martin (Arizona State), and quarterback Ty Thompson (Tulane).
