Ex Miami wide receiver transfers to Georgia

According to a Saturday social media post by Young, Georgia used the transfer portal to sign another wide receiver, Miami’s Colbie Young.

“Thank you to the Miami coaches and teammates for everything,” Young posted on Instagram. “You all made the experience incredible, and I’m grateful.” Thank you to my agency, family, and friends for their help with this decision. With that said, I’ve decided to transfer and have committed to (the) University of Georgia.”

Young, a 6-foot-5, 215-pound receiver, is a junior with one season of eligibility remaining.

Young caught 47 catches for 563 yards and five touchdowns this season at Miami. Young had 79 receptions for 930 yards and 10 touchdowns in two seasons with the Hurricanes.

Young joins teammate wide receiver London Humphreys, who transferred to the Bulldogs on Monday. In 2023, Humphreys had 22 receptions for 439 yards for Vanderbilt.

Former four-star recruit defensive lineman Xzavier McLeod from South Carolina also transferred to the Bulldogs, McLeod said Friday.
